The Pitztal in Tyrol is a 40 km long side valley of the Inn River that branches off to the south near Imst. Framed by more than 50 three-thousand metre peaks, it is a ski touring paradise in the middle of the Ötztal Alps. Thanks to the altitude, we usually find good conditions even early in winter.

The Pitztaler Gletscherbahnen are a comfortable ascent aid that facilitates access to numerous interesting summit destinations. Whether Left Fernerkogel, Schuchtkogel, High walls or the peaks around the neighbouring Rifflsee - there are plenty of options available for us for a wonderful ski touring weekend in Pitztal.
Programme
Meeting place: In the evening at the Biohotel Stillebach
We check the equipment, especially the emergency equipment with avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe, and discuss the schedule for the following two days of touring.

Ski tour in the Pitztal
Depending on the conditions, we choose a suitable ski tour in the rear Pitztal. We can choose from the tour area at the Rifflsee as well as the tours at the Mittelberg and Taschachferner.

Requirements
The ski touring weekend in the Pitztal is for Ski tourers with first experiences in ski touring. You don't have to be a pro, but you should be able to ski solidly in changing snow types, even off-piste.
TipMissing equipment can be found in the SALOMON Touring Test Centre Schultes Hochzeiger Sports. There you can exclusively test the MTN range from SALOMON and receive expert advice. Please book in advance and pick up your equipment the day before!
